Welcome to Dade City in the heart of West Central Florida . . .
a community with a rich past and vibrant future. The Old Pasco County Courthouse serves as the centerpiece of our historic downtown shopping and dining district, attracting visitors and residents alike. Antique stores, boutiques, live entertainment and casual to fine dining are all featured.
Frequent events and festivals liven up the atmosphere throughout the year. An Annual Kumquat Festival®, held the last Saturday in January, sponsored by The Greater Dade City Chamber of Commerce is the largest of the historic downtown events. Just north of the city limits Little Everglades Ranch draws thousands of spectators. A diverse concert schedule of Bluegrass, rock and old time Florida music is presented each year by Sertoma Youth Ranch. Church Street becomes a Christmas wonderland each year with its own festival of lights and holiday decorations. We are home to country music legend The Bellamy Brothers, a historic museum, Pioneer Florida Museum & Village and a historic downtown shopping area with antiques shops and wonderful restaurants.
The rolling hills and scenic roads along with the trailhead of the 50-mile Withlacoochee Rails to Trails linear park make Dade City a preferred destination for bicyclists. Touring the vast Citrus Groves and working ranches surrounding Dade City draw colorful Pelatons of bicyclists and Harley Davidson riders each weekend. For horse enthusiasts there is no shortage of local, regional and national horse shows and rodeos as well as ample trail riding opportunities.
